Digital approaches to English & maths with traineeships & apprenticeships
Association of Colleges in the Eastern Region (ACER)
This project supported tutors and assessors to use learning technologies to improve the delivery and assessment of maths and English within apprenticeship and traineeship programmes. The team also worked with governors and senior leaders to develop tools to embed learning technology within strategic planning and decision-making.
Read the final report to discover how the CPD resources have supported staff to increase their knowledge and use of learning technologies.
USE THESE RESOURCES TO LEARN HOW TO…
- Apply digital technologies creatively to improve learners’ interest and engagement in English and maths;
- Develop skills to offer effective remote support via one-to-one and group online tutorials;
- Improve learning, communication and contact between tutor, assessor, trainee/apprentice and employer;
- Increase the knowledge and understanding of leaders and governors to embed learning technologies within strategic planning.
“The dynamic of assessors engaging with learners digitally away from their workplace has enabled a more personalised approach to the development of all skills. The time that assessors spend face-to-face is more focussed and valued by both assessor and learner.”
