Workers’ Educational Association
(Project 1)
This project created a flexible CPD offer to support tutors to embed learning technology within face-to-face teaching, learning and assessment. The modules can be used as part of initial teacher training programmes or as stand-alone resources for more experienced tutors.
Read the final report to discover how WEA have used feedback, evaluation and participation within a community of practice to impact on the confidence and technical skills of staff.
Final report
- Use iPads and Tablets in face-to-face teaching;
- Address the ‘pros’ and ‘cons’ of asking students to bring their own devices;
- Use social media to enhance learning;
- Record distance travelled using book creator.
Listen to a WEA tutor talking about how the resources have increased her knowledge and changed her practice.
“Overall, what I have learnt has been amazing…things I would never have contemplated such as teaching German through an online activity!”
